Dreams are what feed Latin America. In this part of the world, the future always appears cloudy and difficult. Hope may live and die on the same day. Yet the simplest thing can improve a difficult situation. For all those Latin Americans plunged without warning into the turbulent river of daily life, dreams are the buoys that keep them afloat.
Between 1992 and 2008, the photographer Martín Weber made several trips to Argentina, Cuba, Mexico, Peru, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Brazil and Colombia, where he took portrait shots of everyday characters. To each, he asked: "Can you write a wish or a dream that you have?"
