Questionable COLLECTOR .
A non-branded Zippo like lighter, bought from an old man in a flea-market in California; a Zippo, ordered from Zippo, made in U.S.A, and a Dehoo, purchased from a small local shop in California, made in China.
Originality is key to collectors, but as an industrial designer, a moment when 3 different 'brands' co-exist, a moment when metal extracted from nowhere, U.S.A and China, formed almost the same forms and fire up the same flames, is more meaningful to capture and collect.
*Zippo produced the first Zippo lighter in early 1933, and it became popular in the United States military, especially during World War II. -yu www.fenghaoyu.com
