#85 Going to Market

The morning after Hurricane Sandy passed through New York City I went out to to take pictures. The streets were quiet, no one knew what to do with themselves. The power was out, the markets were closed. I went to the piers on the West side of the city and started making double exposures of all the rubble that the storm had left behind. When I got the rolls developed, I was surprised at the serene beauty of the images. It was completely unexpected.
