Still Life: After

#85 Going to Market

The summer season is over and the beach goers have long time deserted the beach. Yet the silent, colorful and bruised witnesses of their earlier presence are to be seen everywhere. The sea starts returning all forgotten or left behind things that were once a part of a perfect beach day. Every year the sea washes out garbage deliberately or accidentally discarded by ships at sea or beach goers. Besides of making the beaches and areas around them polluted it creates a danger for marine life as well as seagulls which might mistake a floating piece of plastic or aluminum for food. Coming back objects that were bought and brought by people have their way of creating an opposite reality to a sunny fun filled day and make one reflect on before and after.
