This essay is called DRIVE-BY SHOOTING because that's exactly how most of the images were shot - through the windows (front and side) of a truck travelling from Durban to Cape Town.
That's a journey covering more than 3000 kilometres, two coastal cities on different coastlines, and a number of interesting places along the way.
THE JOURNEY IS THE DESTINATION.
