Corruption and Law

Open

The decision by the National Prosecuting Authority to drop the corruption charges against Jacob Zuma in 2009, also gave him (Zuma) the opportunity to grab a season ticket for the best seat in the house - the presidency.

Now that the Supreme Court of Appeal in South Africa has ruled that a decision to discontinue a prosecution was subject to review under the principle of the rule of law, as contained in the Bill of Rights, this effectively means that those corruption charges against President Jacob Zuma can be reinstated. And that's just a shortened version of a much longer story.

Watch this space as Act two promises to be politically obscene, too.
