If you're adventurous, go for it. Sample everything that is on offer on the streets of Bangkok. But if you're not, then stick to the usual institutions of universal blandness. There's one on every street and most of them come with supersize options ( three quarters ice and one quarter soda) The images in this essay are samples of the street food available on Charoenkrung Road. They were shot within a few metres of each other on a stretch measuring less than 30 metres. So this should give you some idea of the quantity and quality of the assorted delights further down that long road. Granted, Bangkok isn't London and neither is it New York, so you won't find the world's culinary delights popping up on every corner. But what you will find is the best of Thai cuisine right there on the streets - fast, fresh, non greasy and ridiculously cheap. Eat it!
