To fight his kind of attitude, an amateur team of transsexual, lesbian and gay Mexican footballers called Tri Gay now travels the world to play and advocate for LGBT rights.

After struggling to find funding through door-to-door solicitation, Tri Gay appealed to the Mexican Football Federation, which publicly declined in a March 2007 open letter.
